MICHIGAN DAUGHTER BIKE FOR HIKE

Submitted by Bill LeVeque, AGG MI

Jordan Brennan, 12 of Caro Bethel U.D. traveled a total distance of 314 miles from Caro to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on a bicycle. It was seven days of great fun, trials and new experiences. Hotels along the way were very gracious to allow her to stay free of charge to raise money for this great cause. Along the way many people were curious about HIKE and what she was doing. Jordan believes that they were able to inform many people across the state about HIKE and all it does for children with hearing problems. The news media help spread the message with stories in the Bay City Times, Alpena News, St. Ignace Times, and coverage by WEYI channel 25 in Flint. Donations were made from members of the Masonic family and friends from across the state and Canada. The Brennan’s would like to sincerely thank everyone for those donations and messages of encouragement. This encourage helped them through rough times during the trip and gave them focus. The total donation was $1023 which Jordan was glad to hand over to Miss Katie Paauwe, Grand Bethel Honored Queen at the first Job’s Daughter Grand Exemplification in Clio on September 8th. The experience was something she will never forget. They are planning to ride again next year for this great philanthropy. Congratulations Jordan Brennan.
