On November 11, 2007 at an initiation meeting of Bethel #32, Moorhead, Minnesota, a HIKE award was made to 16 year old Alisha Mathsen. Alisha was joined by her parents Grace and Rodney and her two brothers. Under Good of the Bethel, Alisha and her family were given a short presentation about our Order and then escorted to the East to be presented with a check from our Minnesota Daughter HIKE Coordinator, Kaitlin.

At the close of the meeting, Alisha was presented with a petition to join Job’s Daughters and a reception to honor her and her family.

Shawnese and her sister had a great time playing games with Bethel 42's girls, especially Pictionary. Honored Queen Lacey along with the other members of the Bethel explained Job’s Daughters and The HIKE Fund. Then they presented Shawnese with gifts and a large ceremonial check. West Virginia HIKE Presentation

The Job’s Daughters from the State of Maryland held a Statewide Prospect Party and Fall HIKE on Saturday, October 6, 2007. At that event they were honored to make a HIKE Award to Keirsten Walters, 10 years old, who lives in West Virginia. Keirsten with her grandmother, mother, and three siblings were invited to attend this function. Miss Maryland Job’s Daughter, Miss Maryland Congeniality, Maryland’s Grand Bethel Honored Queen, Maryland’s Daughter HIKE Coordinator and members of the Grand Bethel presented Keirsten with gifts and a large ceremonial check. The family thoroughly enjoyed the picnic, which was followed with field games and especially the hay ride. The youth then participated in a Straw Maze. After this activity the family took off to inspect all the pumpkins at the Farm.

Keirsten attends the West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind. She comes home on the weekends since the school is three hours away. Since the Bethel in West Virginia was not close to her school or home, Maryland was honored to be asked to present her with this award. She was so excited to receive her large check and said she was going to take it to school to put on her wall.
